ARGYMA authorized to acte before the future European Unified Patent Court
The unitary Patent should start before the end of the year, at the same time as the Unified Patent Court (UPC).
Incertitude remains about the precise date of the entry into force of these two, The United Kingdom’s ratification has been delayed by Brexit. This unified Court will allow to act in counterfeit or invalidation of a patent in a centralized manner in Europe, instead of every national jurisdiction as is now the case.
In order to represent individuals and businesses before this court, European professional representatives must obtain a university diploma on European litigation conduct. Guillaume MILCENT (associate at the Toulouse office) has obtained said diploma delivered by CEIPI (Center for Intellectual Property Studies) and will be able to act before this court on behalf of the firm ARGYMA, when it comes into force.
In practice, ARGYMA will continue to rely on its network of specialized lawyers in Patent Rights to bring forth action before the Unified Court. This diploma will allow Guillaume MILCENT to be on the first line, next to specialized lawyers, to bring technical and legal on European law as it is applied by the European Patent office.
From the moment of its entry into force, ARGYMA will be authorized to assist you in the management of litigations in Europe.
